Ini Pesan Penting Buat Ayah Menjelang Ramadhan

Bulan Ramadhan yang suci sebentar lagi akan menyapa seluruh umat Muslim di dunia. Di bulan ini seluruh umat Muslim yang beriman diwajibkan untuk berpuasa selama sebulan penuh.

Terkait dengan keutamaan ibadah di bulan Ramadhan, sudah sepatutnya orang tua berkewajiban dan tidak lupa melatih anak-anaknya untuk berpuasa.

Beberapa hal yang perlu diperhatikan bagi seorang ayah:

1. Lebih dari itu, Ramadhan adalah bulan istijabaatu ad-du’a. 

Oleh karena itu sering-seringlah kita sebagai orang tua untuk melantunkan doa untuk kebaikan keluarga dan anak-anaknya.

وَالَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا

“Dan orang-orang yang berkata ‘Ya Tuhan kami, anugerahkanlah kepada kami, istri-istri kami dan keturunan kami, sebagai penyenang hati (kami), dan jadikanlah kami imam bagi orang-orang yang bertaqwa’,” (QS al-Furqan: 74).

2. Hendaknya sang ayah memberikan teladan yang baik kepada anak-anaknya. Mengajak mereka ke masjid, mengikuti shalat Tarawih dan mendengarkan ceramah.

3. Anak-anak yang belum dewasa memang tidak diwajibkan untuk berpuasa. Namun, perintah tersebut bukan taklif (pembebanan), melainkan untuk mendidik mereka agar terbiasa.

Hal ini telah dilakukan para sahabat di masa Rasululllah saw. Kendati di antara anak-anak itu ada yang mengeluh, para sahabat tetap menyuruh mereka berpuasa.

4. Sudah sewajarnya sang ayah membiasakan anak-anaknya berpuasa sejak dini sebelum mereka memasuki usia dewasa.

5. Semestinya para orang tua menyuruh anak-anaknya untuk berlomba-lomba mengkhatamkan Alquran. Sebagai motivasi, boleh menjanjikan hadiah atau apa saja yang membuat mereka semangat membaca al-Qur’an.
