Meluruskan Berita Hoax Pemuda Indonesia Jadi Imam Masjidil Haram

Pemuda Indonesia bernama 'Ashal Yantu bin Jumri Bakri al-Banjari menjadi perbincangan netizen dan menjadi viral. Dalam berita yang beredar bahwa pemuda asal Banjar tersebut menjadi Imam Masjidil Haram di Mekah Arab Saudi.

Namun ternyata berita tersebut hoax atau tidak benar, berita yang benar menurut Kabiro Humas Kementerian Agama Mastuki adalah pemuda tersebut bukan imam Masjidil Haram, namun menjadi imam di masjid Birrul Walidain di kawasan Zaidi, Mekah

"Sebenarnya itu bukan imam Masjidil Haram. Jadi dia selama ini menjadi imam di masjid Birrul Walidain di kawasan Zaidi, Mekah," kata Kabiro Humas Kementerian Agama Mastuki seperti dilansir detik, Sabtu (9/6/2018).

Mastuki mendapatkan informasi 'Ashal memang dijadikan anak angkat atau murid salah satu imam Masjidil Haram Syekh Dr Hasan Bukhori. 'Ashal, yang lahir di Arab Saudi, sudah hafal Alquran sejak umur 15 tahun.

"Kalau dilihat videonya, kental sekali logatnya khas Arab dan umur 15 tahun sudah hafal Alquran. Dia lahir di sana, besar di sana, kemudian mendapatkan bimbingan beberapa syekh di Mekah, dan karena suaranya merdu beberapa kali mendapatkan kesempatan tampil di haflah-haflah, lomba-lomba," jelas Mastuki.

Dia mengatakan banyak model uji kompetensi semacam ini di Mekah. Masjid-masjid di sana memang kerap menggelar uji kompetensi. Kegiatan yang diikuti 'Ashal cukup bergengsi karena dihadiri penguji yang salah satunya berasal dari imam Masjidil Haram. Mastuki melihat potensi 'Ashal yang nantinya bisa saja menjadi imam Masjidil Haram.

"Itu standar luar biasa tinggi dan melalui tahapan. Kalau dilihat umurnya 'Ashal ini kan baru 21 tahun, ya itu potensi yang sangat besar," tutur Mastuki.

Mastuki mengatakan 'Ashal berasal dari komunitas suku Banjar yang bermukim di kawasan Zaidi, Mekah, Arab Saudi. Meski demikian, 'Ashal masih berkewarganegaraan Indonesia.

Lebih lanjut Mastuki mengungkapkan bahwa komunitas Banjar memang sangat dihormati orang Mekah. Banyak anak-anak komunitas Banjar yang lahir dan besar di sana. Hingga akhirnya mereka banyak yang menjadi imam masjid, pemberi fatwa (mufti), guru-guru, dan yang lainnya.
 
"Kalau dari Kandangan, Kalsel, itu memang ada perkampungan sendiri dan sangat dihormati orang Mekah. Karena komunitas Banjar itu sangat dikenal. Seperti Syeh Arsyad al-Banjari, Syekh Nafis al-Banjari besar di Mekah pada saat itu," ucap dia.

Mastuki menambahkan, di Saudi banyak komunitas suku lain dari Indonesia yang bermukim di sana. Beberapa di antaranya yakni Jawa (Al-Jawi), Banten (Al-Bantani), Mandailing (Al-Mandali), Padang (Al-Padangi), Bima (Al-Bima), dan lainnya.

Dalam sejarah, baru 3 orang yang pernah menjadi imam di masjid yang jadi pusat ibadah umat Islam ini. Mereka ialah Syekh Junaid al-Batawi, Syekh Muhammad Nawawi al-Jawi al-Bantani, dan Syikh Ahmad Khatib al-Minangkabawi.
